Tyler's passion is the study of military technology, strategy, and foreign policy and he has fostered a dominant voice on those topics in the defense media space. He was the creator of the hugely popular defense site Foxtrot Alpha before developing The War Zone.

Joseph has been a member of The War Zone team since early 2017. Prior to that, he was an Associate Editor at War Is Boring, and his byline has appeared in other publications, including Small Arms Review, Small Arms Defense Journal, Reuters, We Are the Mighty, and Task & Purpose.

Howard is a Senior Staff Writer for The War Zone, and a former Senior Managing Editor for Military Times. Prior to this, he covered military affairs for the Tampa Bay Times as a Senior Writer. Howard's work has appeared in various publications including Yahoo News, RealClearDefense, and Air Force Times.

Thomas is a defense writer and editor with over 20 years of experience covering military aerospace topics and conflicts. He’s written a number of books, edited many more, and has contributed to many of the world’s leading aviation publications. Before joining The War Zone in 2020, he was the editor of AirForces Monthly.

Oliver's background is in the cultural and military history of twentieth-century Britain. Before joining The War Zone in 2022, he was Assistant Lecturer at the University of Kent's Center for the History of War, Media and Society in the U.K., where he completed his PhD in 2021. Alongside his contributions to The War Zone's military history catalog, he also covers contemporary topics and breaking news.

Kyle joined The War Zone in 2021 as the social media and audience editor. Before coming aboard TWZ he was a podcast producer and social media editor for Zero Blog Thirty which he did after his time in the Marine Corps.

Joshua joined The War Zone in 2024 as the Video Producer for the site's YouTube Channel. Prior to joining TWZ, he was a Producer/Director for the Department of Veterans Affairs and PBS. He is also a retired member of the U.S. Air Force, where he spent 20 years as a Radio and Television Broadcaster with assignments to American Forces Network outlets, Combat Camera and the USAF Thunderbirds.
