Subsequent reports said that a U.S. Marine Corps all-terrain vehicle with an anti-drone jamming system sitting on the ship’s flight deck brought down the unmanned aircraft with an electronic warfare attack.

The deployments are in response to still largely nebulous claims form the U.S. government that intelligence showed Iran and its proxies were preparing to launch attacks on American interests in the Middle East.
The full fleet of just eight of these 4×4 armored vehicles saw service in Iraq, the Balkans, and Afghanistan.
